Title: "The 140 Foot Radio Telescope Construction"

Abstract: On Tuesday, July 19 at *NOON* in the Edgemont Rd. auditorium Ellen Bouton will host a special TUNA lunch presentation of two movies from the NRAO Archives. All are welcome - this is a great way for new employees to learn something about NRAO's history! Please note that this event will begin promptly at NOON instead of the usual 12:10pm. One movie, "The 140 Foot Radio Telescope Construction," is a 45 minute film made in 1964 (will the spherical bearing fit through the Droop Mountain train tunnel? will the truck carrying the polar shaft make it over the bridge? will the cranes be able to lift the superstructure?), and the other, "Across Space and Time," is an 10 minute promo/preview film made in 1994 about the building of the GBT.
